Hello All,
I had noticed CRAZY prices on a couple of junk globes on Ebay. Item numbers 200633348938 and 130550736876 . When I clicked on them to check out the descriptions and who was bidding, I see it is the same person (with a feedback of 1) bidding up themselves?! I didn't think this was possible to do. Anyone have any ideas on how this bidding is happening other than the dude is looney for bidding crazy money on broken globes?
Darin

Wish I knew who he was and his number as i could make him a package deal on some broken globes.

Originals only for me. Always looking for Simpson oil, Super A, and MFA oil cans and globes.

Could be that there was a reserve on the globes which wasn't met until his last bid.

That would make sense. I don't generally bid on reserve items so I wasn't familiar with how that would work. I've found from watching reserve auctions that most have unrealistic reserves to "protect their investments".

I agree with you Darin. I hardly ever mess with "reserve" auctions either.

No kidding, I'd sell him an Un-broken Crown w/ paint & an Un-broken Shell for that kind of money w/ postage.

That's what I was thinking Dick....Those are prices that should be paid for NICE originals of either globe!

Differently wouldn't pay $300 for BOTH to use on outside pumps.
