They were reproduced. Here is a picture of one I bought off Ebay maybe 8 or 10 years ago. It is very light....all aluminum. Never came across an original.

I've made those in brass and aluminum but did not sell any on eBay. There were round price cards between two pieces of glass with a snap ring on one side only.

I certainly wasn't saying yours is not real. It's obvious to me that it is the real deal....the only one I have ever seen for sale. The repo is obviously not as crisp as yours in the lettering...besides the makers name not present.....but it is a decent copy.

Hi Jim, I never took it that way, I just posted the mfg. mark, so others would know a way of telling real/repro. I honestly hadn't seen a repro before, so it educated me too.
