I am restoring an G & B 176 in has a set of arrows on a placord on the right hand side the rod is gone that operates this. Could some help me on how this works. I do not know how all this works. Where it connects to the arrows where does the other end connect to??????????

Any help would really help maybe a picture.

Thanks, in advance... Gene

The other end should connect to a drain back valve inside the main body. When the flat handle controlling the arrow was moved "To Tank", the cylinder would drain the remaining gasoline back into the storage tank. Paul www.severngaspumps.com

Actually the end of rod doesn't connect to anything, hangs in the way of the drain Back handle.
Arrow must be manually moved to the TO STORAGE position to raise the rod so that handle can be moved into slot next to door. By moving the handle to right, it opens the drain back valve emptying the cylinder, nozzle is laid inside door & door is closed & locked for the night/end of business day. Reverse the procedure for operating the pump to serve customers.
