Has anyone used electrolysis on pieces that include brass?

The reason I am asking is that I would like to put the pump section of a lubester in my electrolysis vat. I have already removed the brass cylinder and the brass rod.The only thing left on it that I know of will be the brass ID tag and the end of the nozzle. But I dont want to damage these pieces so any one who has tried this please let me know the results.

With the exception of Alum/Mag/Pot, the acid created shouldn't bother any other metals.

I would highly recommend testing it first, just to be sure. Could you attach a brass screw or plumbing fitting to a steel bar or iron pipe, and try it out for a few days?
