Fake. Missing details in engine, strut, windscreen, tail and wheel areas, etc.... Color wrong.

I asked the seller if the dimensions were correct because it appears smaller than 20"X30"
Reply; Hi yes you are right, I put on the listing a note that the dimension are wrong due to my error cause of my mix up with another sign I have,I mixed the 2 dimensions up. Sorry for any inconveniance and thank you for your prompt attention on this item.

Scroll down to bottom of page for the correct dimensions. I would hope they contacted the bidders and informed them.

Over $100 now. I wonder how many people need to report the item as counterfeit before e-Bay will pull the listing?

I know that there was another thread about these signs on ebay and that thread showed a link to a picture of a real sign. I am trying to go off of what I remember about the detail on the wings to determine the authenticity of this one. If this is a fellow oldgas poster, forgive me, SOCONY is not my brand, but since reading that post, I have been watching these signs.

It is also a darker blue, that indicates to me to be closer to original. ?

Just looking for education and things to look for.

The size for one..Most people say 20"x30" is the only size but I remeber seeing a desc. of a foreign version in the mobil book that was a different size....Detail in the propeller, placement of grommetts, coloring...Compare the Repro to the real and you can see.
