Picked up the hat badge pictured here in the center.....don't recall having seen one like it before. The Dallas building was Magnolia's headquarters from 1922 until it was sold by Mobil in 1977.....figure it was worn by a building employee in the 1940-50's period.

Heres a very rare Motorcycle oil tin that I picked up at an estate sale last week. Its in pretty fair shape with some excellent graphics of motorcycles racing on an old wooden track! The can comes from the Marshall Oil Company in Iowa and I believe its the same company that had the French Auto Oil! Rumor is that there was a full case of NOS quarts that sold at the big general store sale in IOWA and the cans supposedly brought $1700 each! Don't know if thats true or not but its really a great can with great graphics! I darn near missed seeing it, as it was tucked down inside a wooden box with other stuff on top of it! Had to dig deep! LOL

Hey Kevin,
That's a killer Motorcycle can. As a collector of Iowa cans, I've never seen that one, pretty amazing. It is the same company that had the French Auto Oil Cans.
As for the rumor, they found 9 1-gallon French Auto Oil cans, they sold them all onsite and online, cheapest sold for $1500, plus 10%, and most expensive was $2,100 I think. So a $13,500+ case of cans. Condition on most of them was pretty good, as long as the paper came off of them okay.
