Hello, I'm looking for an original brass tag for a Fry pump that says "THIS VALVE MUST BE SEALED OPEN EXCEPT IN CASE OF EMERGENCY". Should have stamped raised letters.
Thank you, apina1130@gmail.com

I bought a Fry 17 pump with one of these tags on it. It was in place where you'd find the ID tag. What pump are you looking to put this on? Where would it have been mounted? Greg

It's for a Fry 73, octagonal shaft. The tag would have been located next to the valve and on the side adjacent to the ID Tag and UL tag. The holes for the valve tag are 3 inches on center.

Here is a copy of the tag. I'm pretty sure it is what you are looking for.
I wondered what it was off of as I had never seen one of these on a Fry 117 or 17 pump. I guess it was put on my pump since it was in same shape and size as the original id tag.
If I don't end up putting it back on my pump after I have it painted, I'll let you know. Greg

Hello Dave, This is my first restoration, but my guess since the tag was located next to the gate valve was that the gate valve should remain open during normal operations. If, in the unfortunate event, someone were to drive off with the nozzle still in the tank then the gate valve could be shut. LOL,Just my guess someone may know the real answer. If you have one to sell I would really appreciate it. You can PM me your price. The holes should be 3" center to center. Tanks again

I don't know if that tag actually went on a 73. I have never seen one(tag). Why don't you put it to the experts in the general discussion forum. Those guys have the experience... Dave
