UNION 76 BOUGHT THEM OUT IN 1965.... 1970 THE PURE SIGNS WERE LAST SEEN AS AN OIL/GAS COMPANY. I BELIEVE THE PURE BRAND WAS LATER RESURRECTED IN 1992 (SAVANNAH, GA) AND WAS SOLD IN AT LEAST 10 STATES. IT IS STILL UNDER UNOCAL (UNION 76) OWNERSHIP I THINK.

I just got back from Gulf Shores, Alabama and there were several Pure gas stations still in operation there and some looked brand new. By the way I love the pure stuff as well, so imagine my surprise when i saw some that were open

Can anyone tell me the paint code for pure oil company? I am restoring my first gas pump and pure is the brand my father first at his filling station. Would love to have ppg or dupont paint code. Thanks for any help that can be provided.

Zachary, if you have a pure sign ,any paint supply house can scan it and computer will give them the mix codes. Its been a while but I'm sure they still do it. They just need small flat area.
Enough said before we steal this thread. Hope this helps.
Good luck with your pump.
