I know there were reproductions done, but to me I think this is an original one. Your thoughts?

The blue is darker then the photos represent. They made two versions. The large (75" x 79") sign is SSP and does not have the top that says Genuine Parts like the small (28" x 35") version. The larger sign is a two piece sign. The smaller sign (as pictured) is DSP.

There were two auctions today in which this sign was sold. One of them sold to an online bidder for $6,500.00 plus 9% buyers premium, total=$7,085.00 If you read another post on here, you would have learned most of the signs in this auction had clear coat and/or touchup per tomzcollectiblez who was there, and a similar comment by Bustermonty. It seems someone got burned on this one.

John (Globes and Signs), what did the one hammer for by you in GA?

The one in GA sold for $6800 plus 10% bp totaling $7480. It was very nice, great color and shine, no clear, no restoration. It was one of the nicer ones I've seen in a long time.
