Thanks to Chris "Diesel" I now have a handle for my G&B 178. What I would like to know is what is the rivet or screw that is about 6" from the bottom of the handle used for? It looks like a small chain might have been attached to it. My broken handle has a hole in the exact same place.
Does anyone have an idea or a picture that shows what the chain and rivet was used for? One thought was it held the washer and bolt that was used to hold the handle to the pump shaft.
The second question I have is what does the hand grip part look like that screws into the top of the handle?
