does any body know anything about a wayne model # 1 made in 1957 for golf oil ? i would like to know how many were produced ? and what area were they in service? i am in illinois. and is there a value onthis pump ? this pump is not in the illustrated guide to gas pumps. there is a wayne #2 on page #334. thank's

If I had had a picture of the #1 I would have put it in the book, the #1 is 1/2 of what is shown.
According to the Blue Book, 3680 Model #1 & 2, were made between 1957 and 1960.
No information exists as to where these pumps were sent, probably to the Gulf Oil Co. all over the US.
Value? Based on condition and location.

Not a rare pump, can't even say it is a desirable pump. If you are into Gulf you would like it, if it is the first pump you ever found, you would probably like it, but I never had anyone call me up and ask me where they could find one. This pump would probably appeal to someone who was born after 1960, but when you (meaning me) were born the year the Wayne 60 and the Tokheim 36B came out, this is a modern pump.
