I got a crew together today and headed out to pick up the pump that the warden found in the woods while deer hunting! I had to wait until this afternoon in order to get the help that I needed! I was afraid I wasn't going to be much help but I did get to record the event!
After prying it loose out of the pile of trees and junk that it was tangled into, we discovered a remakably well preserved pump! The skins are in great shape and the pump frame is intact and straight! The cylinder was laying there all broken up and the handle was missing but other than that, I scored a really nice pump!
Funny part is, the thing was laying in trees that I had walked thru several times in my life and its only 6 miles from my farm yard!
Moral: KEEP LOOKING--ITS OUT THERE!

Yep! A Wayne 615 complete, except for glass cylinder and handle!
Best part is that it was found by my wife and she was actually anxious to show me the pictures!
Maybe she'll let me put this one in the house????---NOT!!! LOL

Man- I'll say it again Kevin. You've really got it going on. And to top it off you get two buddies to go pick it up for you. I could see myself trying to drag that thing out of the woods-alone. Slipping-falling- bruises and cuts.lol Congrats.

I've been awful lucky lately but this stuff with finding pumps, usually runs in streaks! There was a while there in the spring that I was wondering if there were any pumps left in this country!
I do have a couple more leads to check out though! LOL
