The local John Deere dealer opened in 1961. At that time they installed two new Tokheim 300 pumps and a used Tokheim 39. They started out selling Calso and eventually transitioned to Chevron. The 300's were removed around fifteen years ago. The 39 was removed a few weeks ago. I had tried buying the 39 quite a few years back without success. I was able to buy the 39 last weekend and am quite happy with it. I don't plan on restoring because I like the patina. I had a Texaco pump plate and a hose laying around and was able to pretty it up a bit. The pump is dated 5-51. I am looking for a few parts for the pump, and will post that in the Wanted section soon. The picture with the 300's is from 1978, the other is likely from the 1980's? My 39 can be seen at the extreme right side of the building. This is my first pump purchase in about eight years, finding them in the wild is rare nowadays in my neck of the woods.

Congrats, I have stopped there at least once a year for the last 15 years trying to buy that pump, Glad someone got it before it was stolen or scrapped. "Your" neck of the woods is the only place I can still find pumps still hooked up. I have my list of 7, Now 6, places I visit regularly to see if they are "Ready" to sell.

I like pictures of pumps "in the wild". Good job on scoring the 39 also!

Nope, never saw that one, a T88, Gulf clockface chrome top, Tok 36b are 3 of them, I would share the addresses with you, I think I may have wore out my welcome by now.
