Frank,

I bet you had a hard time getting your grandson off that horse. What a neat picture!

Also, what a great marking tool for Mobil gas station owners to attract more business!

If anybody subsribes to this service it would be interesting to see what it went for.
I'm assuming that the one in Frank's pic is Roy Reed's that went for $20k.

The picture Frank posted of Roy's is in ORIGINAL Condition, other one & the one he sold were Restored.
IF THAT IS LESSER CONDITION, your in the wrong Hobby!

I saw the one that was in the gas museum in Seattle. Even though I am a Texaco guy....I just stood, stared and said, "Wow."

And how was I to know it was restored? Where in this thread does it state that?

The museum is gone. It was all sold off a few years ago. I thin that was Jeff Peterson's collection. (Corect me if that is wrong guys) There was a restaurnat downstairs and they did private parties upstairs. I was in town one day and found it by accident. The place was closed, but the back door inthe allwy was open and I walked in and holooerd. A guy came out and let me walk around. there was a dog (German Sheppard, I think) that "escorted" me around. I remember the dog had a "gasoline" type name like Ethyl or something...
