Under an aluminum grease cap, on the top of the meter, on the output/calibration shaft there is a brass gear that looks like this plastic gear. It can be removed by removing the snapring and prised up with two screwdrivers. It should be a 20 tooth gear.
Most Wayne pumps from the 50's should have a 2pm2 or 2pm3 meter.
If you have one of these gears please let me know......Ryan????? got one????
Thanks
Joe

Yeah...you would think I would have nightmares involving computers...not yet though....after building pumping units ,nozzles, meters for for 14 yrs and crankback computers for 20 this stuff in burnt into my brain. I can remember all this gas pump stuff...but can't remember yesterday sometimes....mabey its' my density...I mean destiny....no.... density is more like it !!!!

Oh yeah...these are on the METER... NOT THE COMPUTER

This is the meter the gear comes from..it is the gear towards the front.
I am looking for a brass one as long as it is twenty teeth.
The gear may be different # of teeth from the plastic...so the middle gear may be twenty.
Thanks again
Joe

Ok ...someone suggested I offer a 1\2 to 1/3 what I charge for my time to remove this gear. since it takes less than 3 minutes and only takes a pair of snapring pliers and two screwdivers to pry off, I will start by offering $5.00 for this one gear....that is MORE than I charge for 3 minutes of my time. I only need this one gear, one time for a PERSONAL PROJECT. But it has to be 20 teeth.

I am building a clock for myself, and I want to use strictly parts that come from gas pumps...and only brass gears. It is the gear in the RED circle
Thank you All
Joe

I know I have one Joe, I just need to find some time to get one removed. I will see if I can get one off for you this weekend.

Joe, I checked about 50 meters a couple weeks ago. You know why you didn't hear from me...no joy. I had fun scrounging though!
