Can someone tell me what type globe holder attaches to this 5 gallon top? It measures 4 5/8" across the top. how do I get from this to holding a 6" base globe? Does anyone reproduce them? Thanks, Sam

If I was going to mount a globe ring to this top, I'd drill holes in the globe ring that would correspond with the edge of the cast iron. Next, I'd mark the cast iron edge thru the drilled globe holder....at the thickest area. Carefully drill the casting and tap for machine screws. Screw down the globe ring. Done! Thanks paul for the suggestion. I can do that, but I'm still wondering what the original set-up was for holding globes? Sam

Aren't there two threaded holes to hold a globe ring on top?

Savinsam , it sits around out side of the cast piece you have and has 3 sat screws that sits right up under the globe sat screws. After it slips around the piece you have it is mostly open for drainage, then funnels out to hold you globe. Hope I'm making sense wish I was one of them picture posters ,but it goes right over my head, sorry. It really makes your piece special to have the correct top,as it is also cast.

Here's a few pictures on the cast iron globe holder on my early Fry 17.

I'm looking for the correct back skin for my Fry 17. The one I have is from an external pump model. Anyone know where I can find one? I'd be willing to trade mine for a good back skin.

John
