It looks as though sellers like you that offer International shipping get above average prices for your signs. Does the winning bidder live outside of the U.S.A.?

Yes I sell world wide, but the buyer is from Ca. I just wonder why people pay 4 times what an item is worth. Then again, they were doing that all day at yesterdays auction. I had 300 of these nos signs. Sold them all 12 years ago. I thought I ruined the Atlantic pump plate market.

An item is worth what the market brings....not what you think it's worth

and the market has been paying 80 bucks for these. It has nothing to do with what I think. Since I bought 300 for 7 bucks a piece, I am happy.

Just an observation. This is sorta like biting the hand that feeds you. Personally, I would be thankful of the individuals that bought your signs and appreciated the quality of NOS signs and were prepared to step up to the plate and bid hard. I think it's unfair to be critical of them as if they did something wrong or foolishly over paid. If these are your last 2 or last few then it doesn't matter if you had 300 of them 12 years ago. A lot has changed in this hobby during those past 12 years. I'm not familiar or knowledgeable about the rarity of Atlantic signs. But, I would imagine chances are they are probably difficult to find NOS. As a collector, who on occasion sells items when upgrading pieces in my collection; I appreciate NOS items and individuals who are prepared to step up to the plate when they want something for their collections. In the past, I have bought items from you through e-Bay, and am hopeful that you were respectful of and appreciated my business and bids.

I agree. I didnt really mean to slam a buyer. I am more asking why some pay so much over what something is worth. I have noticed the prices going up and up at auction. This post was meant to be a discussion about the high prices being paid. NOT a slam on people that buy !!!
