I finally got the man cave to the point where I can start bringing in the 10 pumps or so, hanging the signs and putting all the other things I collect up.
I thought I would share the progress from the beginning as I move more of the goodies into it over the next year.

Jerry

Rick, That's my 1955 elevator I put in. - It's the upstairs in my new garage.

The reason the place doesn't look familiar is this is where we are going to retire

I'll give you "Props", but I see in the first picture someone has beaten me to it.

Very nice. Nice to have high enough ceilings to fit visibles indoors.

That's it! Well maybe not that exact one...

That's the Coca Cola cooler I bought soda from when I was a real little kid. I'm guessing the bottles hung in a line kinda like the lines at local amusement parks, tho suspended in icey cold water.

Nice large space! I bet though when you fill it you will wish it was larger... smile

Your Coke machine is what is called a slider, it was probably made by Ideal. Mine is a Ideal 55. It is called a slider because you put the money in then slid the bottles over to the left and pulled them out of the machine. These machines were used all over the place, many out front of service stations. They had a compressor in the bottom that ran a refrigiration unit that kept the bottles cold, no cold water.
Almost every guy who grew up during the time of their use will tell you the story of how they pried the cap off a bottle while it was still in the box, then sucked the soda out through a straw.
