After discussing these woodgrain Texaco signs I would like to get everyone's feedback on a crazy idea I have. I would like to restore an Eco 97 air meter in a wood grain finish. I have created a poll to get everyone's input. I like to keep items original, but thought it might look good.

DO IT, I painted an eco a few years back something other than the boring white or red, It sold on ebay for $1950. thats when the high prices were at 900-1000
And besides you are not ruining anything, Eco 97's are so overated and FAR from being rare, you can't blink without finding one.

Like others have already said, it's yours, do it the way you want. If you don't like the way it comes out, repaint it.

I'm in the lower percentile of the vote....do it your way. Who cares what others think....it's your meter...give it a shot! Post pics when you are done with what you decided.
