I am putting my Wayne 80 back together and have a question about the on/off lever that is on the Veerer Root computer. I was wondering how it worked? I can see that when the lever is in one position that it will not let you turn the computer back to zero. But when I put it in the other position and it starts to turn to reset the camshaft arm hits the linkage and wants to bind up. I was just curious about the theory of operation on how the linkage is suppose to work.
I am young enough that I have never pumped gas from one of these old pumps so I'm not really sure how they actually worked.

to the best of my knowledge the on/off lever, motor switch and that thing are all connected w/ linkage
when nozzle lever is in "on" position linkage moves the rod out of the way and turns on the motor
