Looking for a busted or broken Fry 17 or 117 cast iron base. I have one that has a broken out section around the bottom and piece is missing. I would be interested in buying just a piece of a busted up base that you might have so I can repair mine. 704-245-5170

Hello Mike, I do not know the extent of your damage(without seeing it), but you might consider making a pattern of the missing piece out of wood and bondo and then having it cast loose in a foundry and having the piece welded back on.There are foundries that will make "loose" castings(not attached to a board). Post a picture of the damage so that we can get a better look. Dave

As Dave mentioned, "post a pic", I'm sure some scrap cast could be used to weld er' up with nickle ,might not be an easy task "but possible" ~Chris

Mike, I think you could have this fixed. I have repaired cast bases with cold rolled steel and the correct welding rods, some bondo and primer will fix it right up.
Thanks, Phil _________________________________________________ Looking for any old pumps, or nice 5 gallon cans.
