So I picked up this nice Tolkhiem 39 this summer. I am curious where the pump had been used during it's lifetime. The main body has been painted red twice, the doors have been painted red twice and white once (the last time).

There are two pieces of broken add glass on one side and there was one piece left on the other side.

Anyone able to identify what type of gas this was?

This pump was in mid-missouri. Likely candidates would have been MFA or maybe DX.

Thanks,

Lee

ELSLAS 80, ELSLA'S 80 !
Could have been used by any number of small Mom & pop distributors/country store owners.
I don't think we will ever be able to ID All of the small companies that sold gasoline.
35+ years after some started collecting, new never seen/heard of items are still being found.

In 2nd pic, broken pc of glass; the space between the A_S leads me to be leave it had a 'S.
A quick Google search of spelling both ways revealed 0.

Hopefully when you strip down one of the doors it will have remnants of a decal.

Any spanish speakers out there? If you type EL9LAS you get lots of stuff. Add the 80 and it gets more confusing. Would like to try it with the number 80 spelled out but my numbers are limited to one through ten, learned no doubt from Seasame Street.

Perhaps it is a Mexican pump? If so, what do our Spanish speakers think the ad glass might mean?

I think the letter before the "A" is an "E" as in ELSEA'S. Evidently there was at least one station called Elsea's Esso Station http://scrc.swem.wm.edu/?p=collections/findingaid&id=8315&q=
