you don't think the sign is an original sign ? I know it's not from the 50's , more like the 30's...

It is 30", I believe they were only 42" in the Filling Station style. And "Wrapped in Paper" it just doesn't fly. and I may be wrong but wasn't that style base discussed on here before.

the sign's as fake as the day is long...the REG US PAT OFF is computer type: Futura Bold Condensed, I believe...and the base, as discussed before, is obviously a fake...no need to have all of that information on the base of a sign that no one would see...
Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

I told him it was a repop.. he wrote back. "thanks for the info, I am taking the ad down and looking into it further."
