i have seen that amoco thermometer 3 times including the one on american pickers. there is another version of this thermometer featuring thermo antifreeze as well. a great freind of mine has had this thermometer hanging in his collection since ive known him. for the longest time i had doubts of the authenticity of this thermometer even though i have had it my hands. it has a tin face and the outer rim is porcelain. the thermo antifreeze version of this thermometer has the same colored porcelain outer ring, i have never had ther thermo antifreeze version in my hands to touch. the color scheme had me confused, so maybe the thermo is a phony?? its a scrace one for sure!! its funny how things turn up, as i have never seen another and i saw 2 more last week.

What Mike found and was able to purchase was already determined before they taped the show! That stuff is all staged, including the dickering. The owner probably wouldn't let the globe go! Good entertainment though!

my wife made me look up if mike and danelle were married as they flirt a lot. What I found was that Mike had an idea for the show, then teamed with Frank and brought in Danielle for color and the women part of the business. Its a production not a real show. She actually is an ex roller derby gal married with 4 kids and has some traveling boudoir show. Actors plain and simple.

I wish they would leave Mike and Frank at home and just go out and find the good stuff! I get tired of all the ice breaking, bundling and free styling.

I know three people who were "picked". One did t make it to production, the other two did. Production and camera crews came in a few days before the "talent" and did filming and negotiations, signed waivers, gained background, etc.

I have even heard that the was trailered in and the "talent" flies in later for the west coast episodes.
