I'll bet somebody originally offered him .99 for it,so he dropped it on the ground, stomped on it and said,OK.

Coldpizza, I personally know a story like that and know it to be true. A out of town picker, I know found a Vendo 56 Coca Cola machine and took it to a local swap meet to sell. He was asking $2500.00 for it which was a fair price for it. There is a local collector who has a reputation of "low balling" vendors when he is buying items. This local collector walks up to the pickers pick up truck and offers $1000.00 cash for the machine. The picker says show me the cash and takes the thousand dollars payment and inquires where he is parked and offers to drive his truck to the collectors truck. Jumps is his truck and drives about 25 feet away and does a couple of doughnuts and the machine falls out of the truck onto the pavement. He stops and yells out; there "Now it's worth a thousand dollars" and drives away.
