I bought this pump over 20 years ago and have finally starting restoring it. In all ads, parts etc that I've
run across so far, I haven't seen a Milwaukee Tank #781
pump. Does it go by some other name or what is the
reason I haven't seen this pump mentioned or talked about?
Also, I'm new to the hobby although 20 years ago, I'd buy
signs etc. I have the opportunity to purchase a fairly
complete Wayne 60 calculating pump. The fella wants
$1200. Does that seem like a reasonable price?
Thanks for any help.

It's not talked about because it is not a common pump....or one that the "big boys" are looking for in particuliar for their collections. I haven't seen many available in years of collecting. The company called it a Mil-O-Meter in their ads. Search Milwaukee pump on Ebay and I believe there is some literature for sale for the pump. Does yours have that real tall visigauge?

I'd say the Wayne 60 is about right for a nice one needing minimal parts or body work.

Jim

In my opinion that's a good price for a straight Wayne 60.

Had you purchased a copy of my Gas Pump Identification book you would have found a picture of the pump on page 209.

It is also shown on this page of my website: http://petrolianacollectibles.com/milwaukee%20780.htm

I also have have a literature package running on Ebay at: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320813947784&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT

If you are interested in the literature package, please buy it through this website as it supports the efforts Jim is making to make this site available.

Thanks to all for information. I'd already purchased from
Ebay the 781 pump literature. Sorry, didn't know I could
get it from here. I'll do better next time!!!
