Anyway, the point I was trying to make before the oldgas sonderkommando pulled the plug on the discussion, was I was moving my collection back in time to harmonize more closely with my three 1920s cars - 2 Fords and a Dodge Bros.- and my complete run of 1927 license plates.
Here's a glimpse. I'm almost done. Thanks again to the mostly kind oldgas members who expressed good thoughts.
Good luck and good hunting.

Thanks for the nice comments! I reiterate that most folks in the hobby - old timers like me and newcomers alike - are good guys by and large. I appreciate the history of petroleum marketing. I've got a little gasoline in my blood. Here's a photo of my grandfather's garage in Mounds, Okla. c. 1937.

And Uncle Jack and my mother (staring out the rear window)with a Model T in 1925 (note the cool Okla. "F" plate - for Fords only)

Only thing you need to go along with those Ford/Fordson signs is a FORDSON TRACTOR!

I had one many years ago. We got it started one day, it reared up and liked to have killed me. Didn't do that again.
Old gas member 'Old Iron' has some room on his lot and I keep telling him he needs for me to buy a tractor, preferably a Fordson, store it at his place so we can grade the driveway. So far, no soap. I do like those mid-20s McCormick-Deerings, too!

Very nice display you got going there Steve! You even have a Wadhams can in the display I see! I've been at it for over 20 years...and still trying to get a display together! Seeing a display like yours gives me a boost of incentive.

Been wanting a Fordson myself...they are few and far between around my area. The McCormick 10-20's were everywhere. Here is one I have for a lawn ornament....believe it is a 1932 I have another one in storage...it's a 1926.(made them from 1923-1939)

Jim
