I am writing an article for Check the Oil on the Monkey Grip Tire Patch company. I found this picture of one of a fleet of 12 cars built in 1918 for advertising. Has anyone ever seen one of these in a museum?

That would be a nice find. I would hazard to guess that it has to be one of the earliest examples of a vehicle solely designed and built for the purpose of advertising.

Here is a picture of one of the trucks that were used in the Australian advertising.

I would guess if one exist's, it is in a private collection not Museum. In a Museum Collection you would eventually find it online doing a search. Assuming you did that.

I've had no luck with the museum search and was hoping this group would be the best place to find someone who may have seen one at some time in the past.

You can try the Model T Forum. I'm willing to bet that its a Model T with a homebuilt body. It was a common thing to do back then. Somebody on the forum posted a picture of a "shoe" car.

As for a survivor? I highly doubt it. The "Monkey Grip" body was probably tossed so the Model T body could be re-installed, and it would be traded in, or sold off.

I hope something turns up though. That should make for an interesting story.

Thanks for the suggestion. I contacted the Model T club and they are going to search their pictures and group to see if anyone has seen one.
