Years ago, I bought the same sign. It was in two pieces split harshly at the center where the shoe is. I paid $5 for it and was able to patch it back together by reinforcing the back with lumber and joining the 2pcs back together cosmetically with a overlay of aluminum painted the same colors using artwork from a complete sign. I added a simple 90º wooden edge moulding to hide the splice work. Unfort, all the lumber added alot of weight to the sign, plus I never had a place to hang it until recent years.

I had a guy stop the other day and offer me 200 bucks for the F for the horizontal Firestone sign.
I will look for a Y for you !
