Ok ,know you would like a picture,I can't post pics wihout pestering another oldgas member. Vision the Pierce Pennant rad.cover, reads motor oil on bottom. These are common find since the house ceiling full of them was found in MO.
I was lucky enough to be high bidder on one that I havn't seen. Pennant rad cover-- no Pierce across top,one side it reads pennant in flag and motor oil across bottom.
flip side reads pennant in flag with gasoline across bottom. Anybody ever see this one, and what can you tell me about it. Thanks in advance
Just walked out in garage to make sure of gasoline spelling,as that would date it. Noticed printing company logo, THE FOGARTY MFG. CO. DAYTON OHIO.
stamped on both sides ,this is not on Pierce Pennant motor oil one that I have.

Looked up Fogarty MFG. CO.,didn't really find much other than they made some radiator fronts for other companies. Derby being one.
I'm wondering if this was prior to Pierce buying out Waters
his partner, or after Sinclair purchase of gas stations and hotel travel centers.
Trying to answer my own questions, any help anyone.
Thanks in advance!

Joey, thanks for posting pic. Really helps to perk members interest.
The one in question is same print setting as this one with no Pierce and one side reads gasoline ,one side reads motor oil.
Hey maybe I have a one off, miss print,or one that was submitted for a ok and didn't get accepted for mass production. If that proves true,I'm buying a lottery ticket !!

B,T,T, -One time, so much effort to get these pics up. Sinclair guys think its from the take over era,or Waters Pierce days, just a guess but my thought is waters pierce would be to busy to fit.
Again thanks in advance.
