What is up with these Hudson jars on e-bay # 110828850452

I have seen others and think they are fake labels made from the graphics off an oil can, put onto an old jar ? They always seem to have an oily patina and no deterioration. Just want to hear others opinions.

The person sells alot of decals. If you can make decals you can make labels.

Those bottles are always at carlisle and hershey. The lids are embossed with number and letter stamp. Very obvious fakes if you had them in your hand

see me at Mason Dixon Gas, Spring Carlisle M114-115, and Hershey C4E-35.

So are the jars new? Where are they coming from?
I got a guy ***** off at me at the flea market one day because I informed him his bottle was a fake. He had several more at home. Many people are not interested in learning when their money is involved. I was discrete and did not say anything to the person that bought it. He was an advanced collector and should have known better. He put it on eBay, buy it now for big bucks.

Mason Dixon Gas in 11 days !!!!!

You think potential buyers would question the fact that the jars are extremely soiled/dirty and the metal lids are pitted and corroded while the paper labels are in extremely good condition compared to everything else. The paper labels would be the first to rot and deteriorate.

When I saw the bottles, I wondered why they have none of the tell-tale markings my oil bottles have had/do have?

No fill to line embossed into the glass. No motor oil markings embossed into the glass....To name a couple...

...if you hold one in your hands, you'll see that the artwork has been stretched and distorted to fit the size of the label...what should be a circular Hudson logo is an oval on the label...

Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...
