I have been rebuilding computers for 25 yrs now.
I have seen certain "trends" in the biz.
I am starting to see more flat wheel computers come in.
Having flat wheels, means "older" computers.
Older computers, means more wear & tear, more rust, more damages from mice, water, etc....but NOT ALWAYS.
Mouse nests and mouse poop in the Variator can get into the cone gear teeth, and total disassembly and sandblasting is the only way to get it clean.
Rust can be an issue also.
CONDITION will be the major factor.
If you have a normal used unit, rebuilds start @ $200.00.
If the Variator or Head have to be disassembled due to rust or mice, they will be sandblasted, painted and re-assembled.
In doing so there will be a $50.00 charge for the Variator and $50.00 for the head.
Sometimes the Head needs disassembly and not the Variator.
Sometimes the Variator needs disassembly and not the Head.
Sometimes both Head and Variator need disassembly.
MOST computers do not have to be fully diassembled, only the ones w/ "ISSUES" will need to have these steps taken.
Thanks to you all for your business over these 25 years.
