Besides paying retail price for repro. glass cylinders can anyone give me the name and number of a factory who would sell directly to the public? Someone told me you can order from the casting factory direct for about half the price of retailers. This would help those who can't afford paying 175.00 for a repro. cylinder. If no one has this info then maybe we sould do a major internet search and find the co. who supplies this stuff. Thanks in advance.

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN A CHEAPER ACRYLIC CYLINDER, THERE IS A LOWER GRADE CAST FOR APPROXIMATELY $100.00. THE CYLINDERS ARE NOT QUITE AS CLEAR AS THE ONES FOR $175.00, BUT IT STILL RETAINS IT'S OLD GLASS LOOK. CHECK WITH WEBER'S TO SEE IF THEY HAVE THE SIZE YOU NEED. TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION ABOUT THE MANUFACTURER OF THE CYLINDERS - THE ONLY THING I KNOW AND HAVE HEARD IS THAT THEY ARE POSSIBLY MANUFACTURED IN HOUSTON, TEXAS. YOU MAY HAVE TO BUY A 8-10FT SECTION AND CUT TO LENGTH. HOPE THIS WILL HELP TO NARROW YOUR SEARCH.

I have found that the factories will only sell flawed cylinders to the public. I sell the NON flawed cast acrylic cylinders for $135...That saves you $40. Ron

Rob...if you can find someone that will let you buy one cylinder for cheap let me know asap. I just placed my acrylic order for next year and had to order $15,000 worth to get a decent 'break'. I would love to be able to just get a few at a time for a cheap price. $175 or $135 or whatever is a lot cheaper than the $500 + freight originals will cost you. But if you find that particular place, please let me know. Seth/Vic's Place, Inc.
