Sure wasn't common for the midwest. You never see grill guards on the old trucks around here.

I personally think they are ugly. I would rather see the grill virgin w/o the guard. It could be that some local guy was selling these custom made to the farmers made from iron flatbar.

That thing has to be over 70 feet long! I can't even imagine that thing flying down the road. I wonder if there's more than one out there. If not that's a million dollar ride!
