I don’t know what happened. I was cleaning the numbers on the computer. When I reset the computer they are off. One side says 999 for the price the other side says 000. Before I cleaned the numbers it said 000 on both side. Also how hard is it to change the numbers on the computer? And how is it done? I have seen sites that sell the number decals.

If you have never messed with them before then DON'T! I had to make special tools to do mine, and I have destroyed lots of computers learning how to do them.

Number stickers can be put on easy buy starting the number in the place you want it and spin the wheel keeping the stick straight.

There used to be a guy here that would rebuild your computer for you, but I do not remember his name.

Yea Joe is the re-builder - If you go the stick route, make sure you can spin all your wheels before buying. On one computer I had to pop the shutters off so I could do it. I really hate the sticks, but have had to use them on pumps before. I keep the good computers for myself.

so, how do i get the numbers to line up? or do i just put stickers on so they line up? the wheels do spin so it won't be hard to apply the stickers.

well you say it lines up on one side all 999 - so set the stick 0 over the 999 so it will read 000 when reset.

Exactly what he said.

Put the "0" on the sticker over the "9" on the computer wheel so the wheel will read "0" when reset.

FREEDOM oil items wanted.

I think you should put the STICKERS in the trash or give them to your kids. Buy a can of brake cleaner and a can of wd-40. Take the thin sheet metel sides and top off the computer,(one bolt at the very top) then take the 4 bolts that hold it to the base off. then hose it down with the brake cleaner, then wd-40 everything that looks like it moves. With that done (or before maybe)you should be able to move each wheel separtely by reaching in with your hand and moving them back to 000, i think it's clockwise, but you'll be able to feel it, and you can start with the middle 0 or the left or right 0. IMPORTANT the computer needs to be off the base or the wheels won't spin. then paint thinner the wheels to get oil off repaint the white 1st then the black . also that rod that's in the middle of the computer when you take it off the base that rod makes the computer not sit level on a table to work on. you can throw that rod out also because you won't need it. then it well be easier to put the computer back on the base and it(computer will sit level when you work on it). (keep the rod only if your going to actually pump gas with it and need it to caluclate gallons and dollars).hope this helps
