Yes, thats ok if the other side wheels spin. the 1st two wheels are spinning on the other side??? run them through a complete cycle (meaning if it's at say 274) the 2 should join up when it gets around to 7 then keep going till you hit 000. The 3rd wheel will move both sides. But, you should be able to manually turn the 1st and 2nd wheels without the other side turning, though. ? Maybe, I'm not explaining it well. Did you degrease it all and reoil everything? Perhaps, you have some bent gears? If your goal is just to get it back to 000 then perhaps just disconnect gears (on the side of computer) so your able to get to 000 ! without any gears it should spin like the show case show down wheel on The Price Is Right ! hope this helps

I couldn't sleep thinking about your Veeder-Root problem. LoL Before you wreck it by disconnecting gears. Try this simple thing. Where the reset handle(lever) would go into the Veeder if it was installed in your gas pump, try turning the shaft CLOCKWISE, with a pliers or shaft of a screwdriver. The shutters should come down and cover the wheels and just keep turning till it does a complete cycle and it should all be back to 000. If all else fails jkyocom restores them. goodnight

well Dalin that makes two of us that cant sleep over this. i looked at pictures when i first got the pump and the numbers where off when i got it. it wasnt anything i did. i know if i spun one of the wheels on one side(not sure which on) it would make the same wheel on the other side spin too. that why its off by two cents. yes everything was de-greased and oiled, i did that when i got itbeacuse it wouldnt spin. after that is worked. the only issue is that it doesnt reset to 000 on both sides. one side says 002.
plan B is turn the shaft to bring the shutters over the numbers? will that make it easier to spin numbers? lets find out. i contacted jkyocom but he said he is full right now.

NO, plan B is.... example years ago when someone filled gas and it (veeder) was at say 23.8 gallons and $6.88 then when they turned the reset lever the shuuters would come down as it's resetting to 000 $000 so it was ready for the next person to fill gas. I just checked my veeder and it takes 1 full rotation clockwise of the of the shaft(reset level) to reset it.

ok i get it. yes after one full rotation its off by two cents. one side says 000 the other 002. and computer wasn't left at 000 so there are numbers that are faded out so i want to set it to 000 and change the numbers. ill try and rotate the dials from inside later when i get a chance.

well, i restored a M&S 80, about 10yrs ago and others and they are mostly all the same. i can talk you through it. i don't know how to add photos on here, but i could text photos of my m&s 80 and how the parts fit if you could like. were you able to get the handle off the reset rod yet? if not you put a pliers on the reset rod and a pliers on the handle and go up with one pliers and down with the other. or put it in a vise and spin one of them off.

If you could send me picture that would be great. Ill PM you my cell number and my e-mail address. I can’t get the handle off the rod. I think it’s stripped? If you hold the rod the handle just spins on the rod like a propeller. Is it supposed to be like that?
