Hello,
Thank you in advance. I need to clean some old oil bottles. They are the old diamond shaped Gargoyle bottles with the fil-pruf spouts. The spouts are squared at the top. Is there a special tool or technique to remove these spouts? I understand they were made this way to prevent attendants at the station from using another brand of oil in the Gargoyle bottles. Thank you.

DO NOT REMOVE THE TOP....high chance of breaking them....Take a 5 gallon bucket and fill it with water that is Luke warm. Add some soap and submerge the bottle till it fills with water. Then take the bottle out and shake it and reapeat till clean. Then dump the bucket and put straight water in it. Repeat the process and let it dry out. This process works great. If you have hard water it may leave some stains. Good luck.
