Can anyone ID this Bennett Pump just from the Sheet metal??

It is a 956 or 1066. The ID tag on the side panel should say what it is.

Are the Small parts hard to find for these??

It's a 900 or a 1000 series. If the computer is a crank-reset, it's a 900. If it has automatic reset it's a 1000. Also, if the sight glass is in the door it's a 900, if it's on the side it's a 1000. Doors are interchangeable, as are most small parts and trim. There is some 900 and 1000 specific parts, but they are not too hard to find.

Forgot to mention, a few parts are interchangeable with the 600 and 700 series.

Mike is right, on this particular model, you'll either have flourescent lighting or sockets. I believe its a 1000 series if there are flourescents that light up the faceplates. I restored a couple of these. Bennetts are nice for restoring if you are just starting out. Remember one thing about those windows for the doors though. The glass is curved so: Make sure your bodyman taps all the wavy dents out of the windows because installing that glass/rubber after its painted can be a b----. Just use really soapy water and a glass installers plastic knife & hook. Call me if you have any questions. Thanks, Goober 330-428-1125

Does anyone know if the Serial number has the year in it???

Its a 1957-58 pump. if its a 1056

That is what my book said. i was wondering though, there is a 58 at the beginning of the serial number.

This should use a Veeder Root Model 56 automatic reset computer. I rebuilt and motorized the computer for a friend of mine's 1066. Yours looks as if it does not use a sight glass.

I don't believe it has a sight glass. Aren't they on the side of these if they have them??
