My light box came with the U shaped bulbs but was missing the straight bulb. Can anyone tell me what the bulb number is so I can pick one up?

Doesn't seem to be that much room. I measured 21.5 inches between the connectors. So I'm still confused.

The U shaped ones are older Voltarc bulbs model U6-60-SGN-HO. I tried to cross referemce them to no luck. They look like T12's I'm sure there 6" wide maybe 60 watt?

T-12s are going to be harder and harder to find as the T-12 ballasts were discontinued back in July of 2010. The lamps are scheduled to be discontinued in July of this year. (the discontinued date had been pushed back from the original date of 2008....)

T-8 lamps and ballasts are cheaper, lighter and more plentiful... when you decide to change out the lamps to new tech......

Your lamps will be T-12 HO RS (High Output, Rapid Start), not regular T-12 lamps. There is a difference, as it states on your ballast......

Looks like 42packard is right. That bulb is 21.9 inches long and a rapid start. Anyone know where I can pick up one or two. I don't need box full?

Check with your local Lowes and/or Home Depot... If they don't have it, check with a local Electrical Supply house.

Try the Home Depot or home builder store. Also if you have a good all around hardware store you might still get one. You'll need a F24 t-12 HO or CW ( high output or cool white either works)
A lamp I have marked F72 (6foot) actually measures a little over 69inches long.

Check with this site:
http://www.atlantalightbulbs.com/ecart/nw012104/GUARANTEEDF24T12.CW.HO.htm

I typed in F24T12HO and came up with dozens of company's selling lamps on the 'net including Amazon.com
