Today I went and bought the Pennzoil clock I had asked about earlier.got the guy(nice guy by the way) to come down a bit,and think I did pretty good.as they say" condition is everything!" first pic is inside, all I did was clean out a bunch of dirt with a soft brush. Back of case has all doors, and they are not even bent up,a common thing on Pam clocks.just left it as you see. Years of dirt came off the glass, very easily Face is pretty near mint,n flaking whatsoever !There are four hi eff bulbs in it Last, here it is next to a regular Pam ,size does matter! Thanks to all who helped me decide on this! Mick

Where does the term "pam" clock come from, and what distinguishes a "pam" clock from similiar clocks? Thanks, J

Pam Clock Company, the largest manufacturer of these types of clocks.there are others that are similar ,but Pam is the most well known.other similar clocks have been known as "Pam type" kinda like " cresent " wrench?telechron clocks are very similar .thanks for the comments!mick

Yeah that's the one joe.And mark,I actually had the exide in my shop working, but as I was fixing up some nicer ones,I wound up scavenging parts from that one. Maybe someday...... Now I gotta talk the wife into letting me hang the Pennzoil in the house. Wish me luck!
