Brown dog,

Sounds like you might want to try just driving around the countryside looking for one. You might like something such as a Wayne 90. It's from the later 50s, and doesn't have the sight glass bulb on the front that you don't care for. A member on here found a pair for i believe $150 in good shape. You're not going to get one from an informed party for the price you want to pay, but you very well might find one for that "in the wild."

Good luck,
Wes

Brown Dog good luck on finding what you want out in the "wild". If you haven't already check out e-bay and this site to see what a pump goes for. It is true that one can find a golden treasure at times, but for every person who finds one atleast a thousand come up empty. If you go back to about this time last year you will find we had a thread where a gentleman was looking to buy a pump for less than a grand. By time the thread was through, he had talked about making a fake visible and at times it got kind of nasty. Your best bet is to look around and also price what is out there on the open market place. Again good luck and welcome to this site.
Bob

I'm opportunistic when it comes to what I have around here. So if one comes along great. It'll be look what I got for $50. If not, I really don't need one. Thanks for all your help guys.

Hi Brown Dog.
Don't give up hope. Check out my post in showcase and stories. I picked up all 4 pumps for $50 a piece. I'm missing a door on 3 of them, but parts are around, and they are fairly straight and complete. Heck, some people wouldn't do anything to them and display them the way they are. I may restore the two in the center and leave the others, I'm not sure. Just keep looking and be patient, these just fell in my lap this past winter. They are out there and there are deals. Good Luck!
Ken.

If you`re willing to travel a bit, you can eventually find a cheap one. I bought 2 50`s Tokheims on ebay for $99 each. One was 2 hours away, one was 6 hours away. It was a fun trip to go pick them up.....but gas wasn`t $3 a gallon then either!

I'll just keep my eyes open.

Ken, to me the two in the middle look nice as well as the one on the right. Look pretty good for $50. I don't see hoses or nozzles. I can only imagine hose is $3 to $5 a foot for a replacement and the nozzle well, $20 or $30. Just my guess.

How tall are the middle ones?

5 feet.

Its not that you cannot find them in the wild for cheap, just cannot count on it happening..

Dodo is right about the height of the middles ones. I get the hoses here at Princess Auto, 15 feet for about $30 with fittings at both ends, less money for less hose. Yes about $20 to $30 for a nozzle, sometimes less at swap meets, etc. A person could get a generic farm nozzle until a proper one comes around. Definitly keep your eyes open and good luck on the hunt.
Ken.
