I have made some progress on my pump but I have a few questions that I haven't been able to answer with the 'search' feature. The Veeder Root wasn't in real bad shape. It had some rust but I soaked it in Evapo-Rust and everrything except the totalizer was free. I put new decals on the number wheels. I worked on the totalizer and got it freed up but the numbers are gone. Does anyone make decals to restore them? I'm also at the point where I'm thinking about the lighting. I'm considering using a 12volt power supply and using automtive bulbs to light everything. Anybody else ever done this?
The faces are not 'standard' Aqua 850 faces. They have some unusual graphics. Most of the letting will be white on a black background. I was considering going to a sign specialist to see if the faces could be reproduced. HAs anyone else used a similar method? I could paint the faces and create my own decals. The basic graphic would be black on a brushed aluminum face.

Ron Scobie lists faces on his web sight. Have you contacted him to see if he has any left?

Yes, I did. He had faces for a standard Aqua 850 which do not match the graphics on mine. I might consider using them, though. Thanks for the reply.

Why 12 volt lighting? Why not just put 120 volt lighting in it.
If done correctly it is about as safe as any other lighting fixture in your house.

I'm planning on putting this pump outside by my shop. I have plans to install some other low voltage lighting and thought I might incorporate the same into the pump.

110/120 is a better Theft Protector than a 12V system!
220/440 Even Better = FRIED THIEF!

Does no one make decals for the little counter wheels? It would be nice to restore these as well as the large reels.
