Found this in the attic of an old standard station in Ohio. it is 18 inches long, very heavy cast iron. the Big hole is around eight inches and tapers to a little ove seven and their is a small globe attachment on the bottom. I am assuming it fit a crown. Love to know your guys thoughts and the value. Thanks

Kind of unique but very homemade looking. I'd have a tough time putting a price on it, but I think I could make one just like it for under $100??

I agree. Looks homeade. I see some ridgid fittings, threaded pipe, ridgid stand-off. Doesnt mean it is homeade, but i think you could most of the parts.

That's not a gas station sconce for a gas globe.

I have a couple of recast globe holders and a finial for the end, so its just a matter of a few pieces of pipe and manufacturing a wall bracket. Easily under the $100 but if I make it, I'd want you to buy it! LOL

When I pulled it out it was rusty, I placed it in the bead cabinet to take the scale off. I did find on the front of the building where there were two repairs of the building that match up to the hole patterns. If it wasn't a globe holer, what would it's use be?? Only found the one.

Could have been just one of those fishbowl style lights(I dont know the official name for the globe but it looks like a fishbowl) with the frosted glass.
