I recently heard that two local locations only a 1/2 mile apart from each other were being transformed into old old las stations for a movie being filmed in a 1961 year setting. I was able to donate a homemade gas pricer, but not really sure if it was used or not.
When I drove by on sunday, the GULF Station didn't look like much. But up the road a 1/2 mile was a potato barn that the set people transformed into Buzz's SKELLY. The movie was filmed yesterday starring Justin Timberlake and are supposed to appear as 1961 midwest gas stations.
You can clearly see at the SKELLY station depending on where you stand that parts of it were added on and not part of the original barn.
It was cool looking like a trip back in time 50 years ago. See if you can spot what's wrong with the pumps though.
