It is a nice clock, however, if its not original he sort of protects himself by saying he replaced this and that and those....I would stay away.

That is a big problem with selling on eBay. People do not read the descriptions...or look over the pictures carefully. All the time I get questions that the answers are right in the descriptions...or people that get the item and not happy about something that is spelled out right in the description. I think everyone is in too much of a hurry these days.

I have this exact clock without the pegasus. I think it this one looks hokey with the horse head right under the Telechron.

Although it says that,(reproduction) his description"holy grail of advertising clocks" seems very deceptive.nowhere does he say that the Pegasus is not real, which I defiantly think it isn't.Also " old neon MOBIL clock"

I agree with Peggy shoved up right under Telechron. I don't believe Mobil would have allowed that... having another brand name right above their mascot.
I would have been cool enough of a clock if they just left it at a repower and neon job.

On Mar-24-12 at 10:50:59 PDT, seller added the following information:

LISTING CORRECTION

In "item specifics" I didn't clarify Original, so it defaulted to Reproduction. This is not a reproduction. This clock is an original telechron Mobil Neon clock from the 40's -60's. I am uncertian of it actual age. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to message me.

Thanks !!

Pegasus did not change to "facing right" until 1965, and the style and feather pattern was also updated. They used an older version and put it on backwards. Somebody got screwed royally on this one!!!

That clock and this t-53 had the highest number of watchers. Ranking #1 and # 2 according to collectors weekly. With all the great stuff on eBay and these 2 items garnishing so much attention......it makes you wonder which direction were heading and the number of uneducated buyers outnumber the rest of us.

The funny thing is that all those biddees were thinking.....if the guy behind me likes it that much, i guess i can like it a little more
