I saw this at the local flea market this morning and couldn't leave it behind.

I have never seen another one. It was made by the wolverine Toy company. I couldn't resist buying it. Has the original nozzle withit. That clicks when you squeeze the trigger.

The back has shelves in it for the kids to store stuff on. The bell dings and the number dial turns when you turn the hand crank. It is very cool.

Still has all the original signage.

here's a pic by the real thing:

Anyone else got one? Did they make a sky chief also? Other brands? Looks to be from the 1960's, Anyone have any info on them?

That was a companion toy,for the Buddy L,(Wen-Mac),sit & steer tanker truck I had in 1965.

Looks to be fairly sought after too, based on the final selling price of this one..http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...c#ht_500wt_1379

Check this out. Here's an original box for your pump, that ends in 6 hours..
Enter 150781193665 in the eBay search box in bottom right corner.

Usually the little pumps are missing the nozzle & hose. I've seen a couple that looked like they were used for a work bench.
I've never seen a SKY CHIEF or other companies made like this.

I have actually owned 3 of those. They all were pretty nice. I also had a smaller one that was new in the box. They do bring good money. Good score Tom! I also think they made one like it for Amoco.

They are very neat. I believe what everyone above has said is correct. And you really should go after the box. They are scarce. I am tempted to bid on the box and hope to find the pump later.

Thanks for the info guys,

Alex - I'm tempted to throw a bid on the box. I'll never see another probably.

DB - I'll have to keep an eye out for an amoco pump now I need a pair. Would be cool to find a sky cheif but they probably didn't make one.

No Sky-Chief pump was made to match the Fire-Chief. Nice find.

Absolutely. If you ever think of selling it it you will more than get your money back on the box. It will make it a very special item. I would even bid a little more than yo think it is worth.

The box went for more than I would pay. I didn't pay that much for the pump...

I know the box is rarer than tha pump.
