Veteran Member Registered: Fri Jul 01 2005 Loc: Raleigh, NC	Huskerscott - I would bet 50 years or more...I've never seen an original with lettering that nice, that's just great...if you're planning on restoring that pump, I would advise documenting that lettering as precisely as you can...trace it, take pictures of it, etc...once it's gone, it's gone...trying to replicate it precisely from old photos would be nearly impossible... _________________________ the future of our hobby will logically trend to authenticity; historically accurate restoration & preservation of memorabilia should be paramount...

I have a contact in the demolition business and every once in a while, he will come across a sign that is part of a structure. Usually used to patch the roof or wall or something and they are usually damaged from his excavator before he sees them! He's brought me several and one of these times, he'll score big with a really nice one. This time it was this little Mona Motor Oil tin sign. Wish it was nicer! I also got a call from an auctioneer friend that had an antique sale with a gas & oil sign on it that wasn't listed! He described it to me and I headed over and bought this nice double sided porcelain TYDOL sign, in the original hanging ring! Made my week!!
