I know there arn't many of these around however does anyone have a picture of what the mounting ring would look like. It would appear that there were 4 "tabs", 2 at top and 2 at sides and the ring would have opened at the bottom to allow the sign to slip in since the major damage to my sign is at the mounting holes on both sides thanks everyone Ray

Ray - Check out page 17 in Dan's "The Fine Art of Collecting and Displaying Petroliana"...there's a pic of a Sunset sign in curb stand/ring...The stand looks similar to a quaker state curb stand - except the sunset sign "appears" to slip up in between the rounded metal at the top and upper sides of the sign. In the pic there appears to be a mounting bolt to the sides of each small graphic (left and right mid field), one above the upper left side of the U in Sunset, one above the upper right corner of the N in Sunset and one above the center of the E in Sunset...Good luck - Cool sign - CONGRATS!!!
