I'm not sure how long this has been on PCM's website, but duhh, I finally noticed it. An article I wrote a year ago on Salesman samples. For those of you who do not take the magazine, you should consider it. A great way to keep up in the hobby. Here's a link to the article.
thanks for looking.
Don

Sorry guys, I screwed up again. They are just now publishing this article. As usual, just disregard my ranting. Different article from my first. Geeze you'd think I'd learn.

Hi guys...
Scott here with PCM Magazine. We just got the article a couple months ago and just published it in the April 2012 issue. We had other articles and show coverage to cover before that but it's a fresh article for us. We are now posting more info on the website like some of the current articles, swap and show meet dates and much more to come! Soon you'll be able to order e-books, download old photos, access information and much more! Thanks, Scott

You're not kidding these things are detailed! I have a Wayne Oil Tank and Pump Co. Sample of what I believe is a Wayne 22 near as I can tell. The spring loaded trip mechanism for the counter in microscopicly detailed. I am wondering Don if they actually would pump? The one I have has a hole in the bottom of the wood base it is fastened to and if you blow air in it, it comes out the spigot? I got it from a lady who got it from her father who worked for wayne in the 20's

Jim, very nice pump. You just have to admire the talent of the people who made these. Although I've never actually tried it, I was told one time that the salesmen would pump water through them to show how they functioned.
Maybe DB has seen them actually work?

I have a couple that will pump liquid.
The BOWSER tank pumps are VERY Detailed on the lower unit inside tank & I have one that does pump & a drain hole to empty.
This is the oldest. I have re-done a decal, but just can't get myself to change the caricature of this very old item.

Way to go DB! great photo shop reversing damage!I removed the wood base on the Wayne and took a peek under her dress and it looks like there is a threaded hole going into pump and you can see part of a plumger? was thinking about filling with a light oil and see what happens, what do you think?
