I picked up a couple of nice displays for my office.

Acquired this small (11" x 8") oval Gargoyle Mobiloil sign last week.....it's one I've never seen before.





It's a curved oval.....you can see it better from this viewpoint




I'd appreciate hearing if you've seen one like it, or know how it might have been displayed.

Randy....the previous owner is from Vacuum Oil's home area in New York, and as far as I can tell it was made in the U.S....don't see any tell-tale signs that it's foreign-made.

Picked up both of these yesterday in the rain. It poured on us but I think it was worth the trip.

I've just bought two two cans last week, a motul and a gulf

Finally bought something for the collection again! This is a very rare Wadhams FV early gallon can I picked up from a fellow Oldgasser!

I entered pics of all four sides as I think this is really some unique advertising depicted on it.

Jim what does the FV stand for? I have a small porcelain push with the same Wadham's FV motor oil on it. thx mm

All the signs are light up with 2 prong plugs. The Kendall clock is right around the 40's not sure on the other 2 though.

I hate to admit it...but I do not know what FV stands for. I have come across very little about FV oil...I do have a 1913 magazine ad for it and a small tin sign...but thats about all. That little sign is a pretty rare item....I have one also.

Perhaps the FV stands for the initials of the original Mr. Wadhams? Not our Mr. Wadhams. The father-in-law of Hargar W. Dodge? Like J.P. Morgan?
